FAQ's

HOW MUCH DOES A SWIMMING POOL COST TO BUILD?

Swimming pools are very much like houses, there are track/production houses and there are custom homes. Production pools are pre-designed with limited variety and are typically smaller and use less expensive materials and equipment. While, custom pools are unique and individually designed for specific customer needs, utilizing unlimited choices of state of the art materials and equipment. Many times people think all pools are created equal therefore, the lowest price is the best value. We've all heard "You get what you pay for". Regardless, building any pool is a substanial investment/ expenditure! It is sometimes better to do nothing than to make a financial mistake for budgetary reasons. Other issues that influence the price of pools are size, depth, access to the yard, topography, underground conditions (ie. water), warranties, etc. With that said, for an average size custom backyard in-ground, non-diving board, shotcrete swimming pool you can expect to invest $26,000 to $35,000+. Adding a spa and a heater will increase the price another $5000 to $10,000+. Likewise, to screen enclose a project it will cost between $7,500 and $13,000+ depending on the size of the project and facia height of your home.

DOES A SWIMMING POOL ADD VALUE TO MY HOME?

Yes, in Florida it sure does! A normal rule of thumb is to add 60% to 70% of the cost of the pool project to the value of your home.

No. There are only a few times that we need you to be home during the construction. One time would be the day that the electrician and gas people are there to hook up the utilities. You will need to be home to turn off the water after the swimming pool is filled to the middle of the tile line the day after plaster.

CAN I USE MY SWIMMING POOL ALL YEAR ROUND?

WHAT DOES "LIFETIME STRUCTURAL WARRANTY" REALLY MEAN?

A lifetime structural warranty means the shotcrete structure will hold water for as long as you live in the home. Remember that a warranty is only as good as the company backing it. Leaks around return fittings (one of the most common areas for leaks in a pool) is not considered structrual in nature. This is important. Because at Paradise Pools we use our exclusive "in-wall internal" plumbing system which eliminates all tank penetration. Note, that our internal plumbing system also carries a lifetime warranty.
